Questions

What is Kakuro?

A number crossword, also called cross sums. You fill white squares with digits 1–9 so each line adds up to its clue, with no digit repeated in that line.

Is it hard?

The rules take a minute to learn. Getting good takes a handful of named techniques, which the app teaches one at a time.

Do I need to be good at maths?

No. You are only ever adding small numbers, and the app shows you which combinations are possible.

How is it different from Sudoku?

Sudoku fills a fixed grid by position. Kakuro's clues are sums, so every line is its own small addition puzzle.

Is it free?

Yes. Kakuro is free to play on Android and iOS.
